What is the Treatment for Nausea?

The doctor will first inspect, they will ask the questions to know your symptoms or cause for nausea and accordingly, correct medication will be done, it may need urine, blood, and pregnancy test.

If Nausea is because of stomach flu, then you will feel good within 24 hours.

Nausea due to food poisoning may take around 48 hours for relief.

 

If it is women suffering from nausea for around week periods, need to have a pregnancy test with consultation from doctors.

Drinks

Be well-hydrated, Drink lemonade, ginger with water or ginger tea, Mint tea, etc.

 

Atmosphere

Try to avoid rooms with stuffy air, heat, and humidity, driving blinking lights.

 

Food Selection

If you are already suffering from vomiting then avoid solid food for some time.

Once you recover, start with light food which can be digested easily like applesauce, rice, cereal, banana, and other fruits.

Toast, bread, and saltines are high in starch, which helps to absorb gastric acids and settle the stomach.

Ginger is pungent in taste. It has anti-inflammatory and antiemetic properties. Ginger is good for alleviating the upset stomach, rhizome ingesting, and digestion-related problems.

 

Mint

This product contains active enzymes which will encourage bile secretion as well as its flow, as a result in a smooth digestion process. Just chew some leaves or add their juice to water.

 

Stay away from dairy, spicy and acidic types of foods, this can make the situation worse.

 

Watermelon

It has high water content, will reduce the symptoms of nausea but do not overeat.

 

Pineapple

Pineapple is a good fruit for digestion, hence if you feel nauseous then can consume this fruit.
